Boot in Safe Mode: .Booting your PC into safe mode can be kind of tricky. The easiest way is to press the F8 key every second after the computer boots. When the Windows Safe Mode menu appears, choose either Safe Mode or Safe Mode with Networking.
Clean just about any virus from your PC: The best process we have found to clean viruses off a computer is the following four step process:
- Boot PC into Safe Mode with Networking
- Download and run CCleaner. Be sure to click Options>Advanced and clear the checkmark next to the "Only delete files in Windows temp folders older than 24 hours" option. first
- Download and run Malwarebytes Antimalware. Allow the product to update and run a quick scan. Upon competition, click Show Results, then click Repair. Malwarebytes may need to restart the PC to remove some infected files. If so, click Yes. If not, restart anyway into Windows.
- Once in Windows, run Malwarebytes again, this time select the Full Scan option. Upon completion, follow the instructions to remove all the infections. Reboot the system. At this point your computer should be virus-free, but if not, contact us here.
